Scott McKenzie (born Philip Wallach Blondheim, January 10, 1939 – August 18, 2012) was an American singer and songwriter. He was best known for his 1967 hit single and generational anthem of the 60s Haight Ashbury scene, "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)". This compilation rates is an overview of the work of Scott McKenzie. While the one-hit wonder tag belies the length of his career, it's undeniably true that "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)" is by far his most memorable achievement

Always synonmous with "San Francisco" his number one penned by Mamas And The Papas' John Phillips, Scott McKenzie had already had a varied and semi-successful musical career before that one song catapluted him to world fame.
