This Is Crucial Reggae. Bottom line? Israel Vibration is always a sure hit! Also recommended by them: Strength of My Life Praises Free to Move Forever I like The Same Song too, but the production is less than quality on that one. Great music though.

The series might be crucial reggae, but this collection from Black Uhuru doesn't qualify as essential. To be fair, there's the excellent "I Love King Selassie" from the band's early days in the Kingston ghetto, but there's a complete absence of anything they released on Island - the material that made their name and also helped propel the rhythm team of Sly and Robbie into the spotlight.

Reggae Knights is a studio album by a Jamaican reggae harmony duo, Israel Vibration, released on August 16, 2011, under Mediacom/VPAL in the . and in Europe on November 26, 2010, exclusively under Mediacom at first. This album was recorded at Jimmy Cliff’s studio (Sun Power Productions) in Kingston.

Israel Vibration’s act had caught the eye of top reggae producer Tommy Cowan who decided to finance further recordings. They teamed up with The Fatman Riddim Section, otherwise known as Ian and Rodger Lewis from Inner Circle, to record their debut LP "The Same Song" on producer Tommy Cowan’s Top Ranking label. Since coming to the States in 1981, Israel Vibrations had yet to tour or record and album together as a complete band. It wasn’t until 1988 when Apple, Skelly, and Wiss got back together and Israel Vibration was reborn. Dr. Dread, President and founder of Ras Records was the binding factor that got them back in the studio together to record an album. This is where Israel Vibrations gets a huge sense of pride and accomplishment in passing the message of Rastafari on to the masses. Rasta’s had a bad name in Jamaica during their earlier days of existence.

Exclusive reissues, unpublished releases or new albums ship to the vinyl lovers. Whilst not really breaking any new ground, this dbl LP entitled Reggae Knights (originally released in 2010 on CD only) remains largely true to both the spiritual and musical values heard on their previous releases

Album · 2011 · 14 Songs. Actively recording since 1976, Israel Vibration has served up traditional roots reggae for more than 30 years. Reggae Knights is the group’s first new album since 2007's Stamina and the 22nd of its lengthy but always consistent career. Recorded at Jimmy Cliff's Sun Power Studios and mixed by Christopher Daley, it features exceptional instrumentation from longtime crew Roots Radic, plus the inimitable Robbie Shakespeare on bass, a top-notch horn section, and the Black Soil Band (best known for its work with Taurus Riley).

Israel Vibration is a reggae harmony group from Kingston, Jamaica, whoe are assisted by famous producers Sly & Robbie, legendary melodica player Augustus Pablo, and keyboardists Mikey Chung and Ansel Collins. One of the most exciting debuts of the roots era, Same Song (1978) boasted the cream of the crop of Jamaican musicianship. Jamaican producer Tommy Cowan took special care with this record and insured that the cast never overwhelmed the vocalists
