Itchycoo Park" is the nickname of Little Ilford Park in London. An "Itchycoo" is slang for a flower found in the park called a "Stinging Nettle," which can burn the skin if touched. So Small Faces manager Tony Calder explained the song had an innocent interpretation. A decent introduction to the Small Faces' British psychedelic phase on Immediate Records, Itchycoo Park has a nice cohesive feel, with its music hall trappings and endless phased guitars, and many fans feel that this was the group's most creative period
