Black Cat Bones are a five piece band from Liverpool, looking to show that the UK, and specifically their home town, is still the place to look for new bands destined to set the world alight. I’m not saying that Black Cat Bones are in the same league as The Beatles, but they are at least in the same city, and they also deliver a solid sound true to their roots. False Promises And Wasted Time is the band’s debut EP. You’ll find well-matched, driving guitars coupled with a tight, compact rhythm section where the bass and drums mesh seamlessly. You’ll find well defined lyrics pushed out with energy and intelligence. Let me expand on that last point a little, because it might seem a little strange talking about hard rock bands and intelligence in the same sentence.
Some of you will know Dan from Black Diamond and the rest will soon hear what he can do. He is a great vocalist, guitar player and song writer and we are all really excited for the future of this band and are all really looking forward to working with Dan on the upcoming EP. 1 Highway Man 4:50 2 One More Time 4:07 3 Bittersweet 5:37 4 Creepin 4:59 5 Silverline. Black Cat Bones were a British heavy blues rock group from London. The band is perhaps best known for having had Paul Kossoff and Simon Kirke in its lineup, both of whom later joined Free in 1968. Kirke also became a founding member of Bad Company in 1974. The band formed in 1966 with original members Paul Tiller (lead vocals and harmonica), Paul Kossoff (lead guitar), brothers Derek Brooks (rhythm guitar) and Stuart Brooks (bass), and Terry Sims (drums).
False Promises & Wasted Time is Brilliant, Brad Marr from Massive, Black Cat Bones: 80s inspired LA street cred, punch in the face rock n fucking roll, I’m all for it. It’s the sorta music that will make you forget the rules, get real messy wake up with a mad hangover and want to do it all again. Being booked to support Nazareth and The Quireboys, Black Cat Bones have also been booked to play festivals around the UK such as Prestons Rock Prest, Boltfest and Bickerstock. With the energy that they bring to the stage, style, passion and rip roaring guitars and vocals, Black Cat Bones are surely one to watch and definitely not to be missed live. I thought hard rock was dead, but it isn’t. If there was ever a compliment to be given to Black Cat Bones, this is the one to give.
Album One Big Nothing. And every day, it tastes the same Half a cigarette and I'd do it again Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah I'm bittersweet emptiness And do you like it more 'cause you know I'm a mess?
