Intolerance is the first solo album from Grant Hart, formerly of the band Hüsker Dü. It was released on December 12, 1989. The album was remastered and reissued by MVD Audio in 2010 on 180 gram vinyl with new album cover art. All songs written by Grant Hart. All Of My Senses" (5:51). Now That You Know Me" (3:54). Fanfare In D Major (Come, Come)" (3:45). Twenty-Five Forty-One" (4:41). You're The Victim" (3:10).
Intolerance was mixed and mastered by Zeuss, who has recently worked with Demon Hunter. So is this going to be a bible thumping album? There aren't any pretty chorus vocals here, asses are kicked instead of being kissed. The album starts off with Fight or Die, the guitar plays some choppy melodies, interspersed with violent grinding. This is reminiscent of Su Ta Gar and some of their schemes of musical textures. Hardened by Consequence is a bad ass fucking song.
I don't wanna be hostile I don't wanna be dismal And I don't wanna rot in an apathetic existence See I wanna believe you And I wanted to trust you And I wanna have faith to put away the dagger. But you lie, cheat and steal You lie, cheat and steal You lie, cheat and steal And I tolerate you You lie, cheat and steal You lie, cheat and steal You lie, cheat and steal How can I tolerate?
