Posthuman is the fourth studio album by the American hardcore band Harm's Way. The album was released on February 9, 2018 and marked the band's first release through Metal Blade Records. Vocalist James Pligge says the album is influenced to a smaller extent by Slipknot, but to a larger extent Triptykon and Machine Head. Harm's Way promoted the album with music videos for "Become a Machine" and "Last Man", and online streams of "Human Carrying Capacity" and "Call My Name".
Album · 2018 · 10 Songs. On their fourth album, metallic hardcore heavyweights Harms Way deliver a vitriolic screed on the dangers of technological obsession, overpopulation, and the cosmic insignificance of the human race.

Harms Way however is not a straight-out aggression band, ‘Temptation’ is a track full of haunting echoes and ‘The Gift’ displays the bands diversity as they utilise their Electronic side. Become a Machine’ is bound to be a live favourite with its high-speed aggression matched by plenty of pitting opportunities.
Harms Way's metallic hardcore has won them fans on four continents; their reputation for delivering blistering sets cannot be overstated, and their timely lyrics about struggle, personal growth and self-awareness leave a lasting impression upon any listener. Having grown with each subsequent release, Posthuman, their fourth full-length - and Metal Blade Records debut - is a devastating addition to their catalog. Way fan, I would describe 'Posthuman' as a blend of 'Isolation' (2011) and 'Rust' (2015), but it's sonically way more insane. To anyone else, I would simply say it's full on heavy and full on aggression. It is perhaps surprising, given their vitality, that Harms Way was initially a side project for members of Chicago hardcore crew Few And The Proud.
