Let Us Play! is the fourth album by Coldcut, released on 8 September 1997. It was their first album to be released on their own label, Ninja Tune. Atomic Moog 2000 (Post Nuclear Afterlife Lounge Mix)". More Beats + Pieces (Daddy Rips It Up Mix)". Music 4 No Musicians". Every Home a Prison".
Let Us Replay! is a double-disc remix album that also includes a few live tracks from Coldcut's innovative world tour. The reworkings benefit from the recruitment of a variety of wide-ranging but very sympathetic figures including Cornelius, Grandmaster Flash, Shut Up and Dance, Carl Craig and Mixmaster Morris. The live tracks are a bit less entertaining and are quite similar to their album versions. Track Listing - Disc 1. Sample.
Which brings me to Coldcut's Let Us Replay!. I am pleased to announce that Coldcut has built up a brand equity among both my peers and myself that is almost unmatched among electroids. Since their release of 1989's critically lauded and just plain phat What's That Noise?, then 1997's Let Us Play!, not to mention the barrage of remix discs (Timber, More Beats + Pieces and Boot The System/ Atomic Moog 2000), they have consistently generated groundbreaking and just plain cool toonz for the electrically eclectic. Let Us Replay! is no exception
