Print and download in PDF or MIDI Minecraft, Volume Alpha. The twelve in-game songs from the album Minecraft, Volume Alpha. Uploaded on Dec 4, 2017.

This album is really magical. It's like condensed nostalgia. Takes me back to some of the best times of my childhood, when things were just easier. When I could just turn on my computer and build my own world. I don't think Minecraft would have be as captivating as it was had it not been for C418's music following the player on their journeys. There's just something about his simple piano melodies and repetitive electronics that sticks with you.

C418’s Minecraft - Volume Alpha features not a single song with singing. A wonderful addition to the album that I noticed in various songs is that the songs will bleed together. If you are unfamiliar with this concept, it essentially means that at the end of one song, the song immediately listed after the one which just ended will start playing for a few seconds before skipping to the next song. Minecraft - Volume Alpha is a wonderful album to listen to when you’re sitting back and doing work or even playing the game in general. com ranging anywhere from 12 to 28 dollars (USD).

It was released on March 4, 2011, on c418. The second Minecraft soundtrack album, Minecraft - Volume Beta, was released on November 9, 2013.

Green vinyl is actually still available at the label's website: https://ghostly.com/products/c418-minecraft-volume-alpha
I got the recent restocking, and wow am I impressed with the music. Virtually 0 surface noise apart from the occasional pop or click, unless you turn it way up, in which case the music will deafen you. Speaking of, this album is surprisingly loud, I had to turn the volume on my amp down farther than any other record I own. The dynamic range on each song is very impressive, the quiet parts of the music definitely deceive you as the crescendos are blaring loud in comparison if you've set the volume for the quiet parts. Care was definitely taken here in translating everything onto vinyl. My largest complaints are with the physical objects themselves: the record is very thin and flimsy and came warped (luckily doesn't affect music quality) and the outer cover is just card stock, not even cardboard. This doesn't really affect much other than everything being very delicate; the music is still crystal clear, and of course it's a classic soundtrack.
there's fuck all wrong with this pressing, barely any surface noise on mine
Overall, this release is actually pretty good. The record is nicely packaged with a Lenticular image on the front of the sleeve. The inner sleeve is unfortunately paper (no plastic inner lining here), but the record came out of this very clean without any vinyl flakes, owing to clean centre spindle hole drilling. The translucent green record is really nice to look at, and the overall visual presentation of this release is pretty nice.Sound quality is quite good overall. As others have noted, there is quite a bit of surface noise that is pressed into the actual record. The effect is literally amplified by the relatively quiet mastering, making it more pronounced. Apart from this, the sound quality is perfectly acceptable. You might even think that the surface noise adds a certain charm - normally I'd hate it, but on the Minecraft soundtrack it actually feels fitting. Not bad.
I got my "restock" in the mail yesterday, and it's not nearly as bad as I was expecting after hearing everyone else's horror stories. These tracks are dynamically pretty quiet, that causes me to turn up my volume about 10 clicks past what I normally do with my other albums. This unveils surface noise throughout a few of the tracks, most of them just being slight pops here and there, but A6 was the worst for sure. Those were more like clicks than pops. Side B seemed pretty flawless though for my copy. Overall I'm glad I only paid retail for this, it's still a fun album to have in my collection and the slight surface noise isn't too much of a distraction for me.Edit: Long story short, this pressing appears to just be hit-or-miss.
I ordered from the restocked items and the pressing quality of my first order was very poor. Lots of scratches on the A side. The soundtrack has lots of quieter parts so it was very annoying. I'm waiting for the second order.
album has been restocked at ghostly https://ghostly.com/products/c418-minecraft-volume-alpha word word word
Very bad pressing, no surface noises but very loud clicks at some point... the quiet parts of the songs are ok but the most loud parts are full of artefacts.
Our pressing is fine; was a bit dirty out of the package but I clean every record.
very poor pressing, very very very very disappointed!
No noise at all.. dead quiet but a few clicks per side
Not a great pressing. It does have some crackling. With it being such quite music it's more noticeable than most other albums would be. However I'm not disappointed with it. Still plays fine & as long you turn up the volume & aren't a perfectionist it's worth it. Great Music!
I got mine yesterday and its noisy as fuck! So much crackling and popping. So bummed b/c i love this music.
Absolutely flawless pression. I know that many people seem to think otherwise but, maybe I just got lucky. Not sure.
Does anybody know if the download code still works, and if so, does it come with the original track listing? Because there's more on the CD/MP3 File
Yes and yes. The download code still works and the missing tracks not on the record are also included.
Also totally agree with the complaints about the pressing quality, my copy has quite a lot surface noise. It's so sad that such beautiful music isn't really enjoyable.
Simple fellow
I agree with people complaining about the pressing quality. My copy crackles quiet a bit, what is distracting in the many quiet tracks. Not good.
Very poor quality pressing, packaging is really nice though. Music is of course good
Its really not as terrible is people say it is. There is surface noise, but it doesn't distract from the music.
Zeks Horde
I haven't been thrilled with the pressings I've got from Ghostly International. A lot of surface noise and crackle on these - even after a professional cleaning. I'm glad they included the digital copies because those sound great. A bit of a bummer. Not *awful* but certainly could be a much better pressing.
Got Mine today and I am very pleased. Along with being a very beautiful vinyl with the translucent green, I love the song selection. Hand Picking 12 out of 24 songs is not an easy task but I think they got it right! It sounds a little wobbly and higher toned but I think that's just my turn table.
pretty noisy pressing
Listening to other vinyls for comparison, I concur that this record definitely has plenty of noise. :/
No I mean like there's lots of surface noise. Definitely not present in digital versions. Just a low quality pressing.
The originals are noisy to be honest :SSounds no different to the Bandcamp version.
