In 1987 Medwyn Goodall produced his first album "Emergence". In 2016 Medwyn was presented the lifetime achievement award for contribution to the music industry. As part of his 30th anniversary celebration, Medwyn re-recorded "Emergence". Written in 1987 and re-recorded in 2016 here is "Echoes of EMERGENCE". Originally inspired by watching early morning mist over Helford river in Cornwall.

I bought this album because of the cool cover art and because the titles of the selections all related to legends of Merlin. I had no idea whether the music would be good or bad, but with a title and cover like that, I figured it would be either Celtic New Age or Space music, and since I'm a fan of both I figured I'd give this album a try. Boy, was this album not what I expected. The music is slow and jazzy, with a heavy almost lethargic drumbeat and breathy flutes.
