"The Bobby Hart in this songwriting duo is different from songwriter Bob Hart (1900-1993). Tommy Boyce (born Sidney Thomas Boyce, September 29, 1939, Charlottesville, Virginia; died November 23, 1994) and Bobby Hart (born Robert Luke Harshman, February 19, 1939, Phoenix, Arizona) were a songwriting duo, best known for the songs they wrote for The Monkees. Hart's father was a church minister. Hart served in the Army after leaving high school, and on discharge travelled to Los Angeles seeking a career as a singer. The Monkees themselves re-recorded their vocals over Boyce and Hart's when it came time to release the songs, including both "(Theme from) The Monkees" and "Last Train to Clarksville", the latter of which was a huge hit.

03I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight. Tommy Boyce & Bobby Hart - Goodbye, Baby (I Don't Want to See You Cry) Songtext. She knew what she wanted I knew what I wanted too When I met her. I gave what she needed She gave what I needed too And I let her. I was too happy to notice that She needed more than to hold me Now she is holding somebody That she knew before and she told me. Goodbye, baby, bye bye Goodbye, baby, bye bye Goodbye, baby, bye bye, bye bye. I should have known I'd be here All alone, trying hard to forget her Last time I saw her, she smiled and She hoped I was feeling much better
