I love this album and especially this edition. It's the only edition including "Angel" & "Find me" with the amazing vocals of Plavka!Although "Stella" & "Right in the night", which are here included in their Full-Lenght Versions, have been major hits across Europe, Tripomatic Fairytales 2001 can not be considered as a typical 90s Eurodance Album. It's more an Ambient Trance Album, with elements of Techno, in which the music is on the foreground and the vocals (if any in some tracks) are playing the 2nd role."Right of the night" will always be recognized as Jam & Spoon's signature song! More Eurodance like, still in its own way it delivers to the listener an amazing feeling combined of electronic music and Plavka's amazing vocals! For me the best track of the album (if not generally one of the best 90s dance tracks ever written)! The 2 black vinyls are very well mastered, clear sounded and quiet in lower parts without clicks & pops. Most of the tracks (not all of them) are non-stop mixed, as they were released on the first edition. The gatefold sleeve makes the LP Edition very attractive.R.I.P. Mark Spoon and thank you (with Jam El Mar of course) for this amazing album!

Tribal, Techno, Trance, Tech-House call it what you wilst every track on display here is a winner. The ambient interludes with broken english poetry adds a lo-fi cosy shine to it all, and "Right In The Night" fits right in there! One of the best electronic albums of all time.

Check out Y-Traxx - Mystery Land compared to Odyssey To Anyoona. Who copied from who? :)https://youtu.be/4SGyDtZdKx0https://youtu.be/mMKfdqxoWi0But i think J&S was first...

One of my all time favourite albums. Was one of the soundtracks to my youth. Which tracks to pick as favourite, Follow Me, Odysee to Anyoona, Neurotrance Adventure, STELLA?! Just can't because they are all so damn good. Outstanding album.

Jam & Spoon's first album, TRIPOMATIC FAIRY TALES 2001, revels in the heady club days of the early 90s, with sweet synths and melodies to hit the ears in just the right places. "Heart of Africa" starts things off slow, with a mid-tempo track that hints at Africa more than getting to its heart, but which segues into pure techno in its last minute in order to lead into "Odyssey to Anyoona," a classic Jam & Spoon trance track with long, deep grooves and a looped sample from what sounds like a Bulgarian women's choir. Better still, the timeless classic "Stella" makes an appearance. After such a classic, "Neurotrance Adventure" and "Zen Flash Zen Bones" pale a bit in comparison, even though they have their own blissful moments. The massive club hit "Right in the Night," with its flamenco flair, also appears here. I could have done without the 'poetic' interludes that dot the album or the more generic tracks, such as "Paradise Garage," but the stronger tracks more than fulfill the need to dance, from the longing cry on "Path of Harmony" to the faux didgeridoo of "Earth Spirit" or the other club hit, "Find Me." Towards the end of the album, "Stellas Cry" isn't so much a reprise as a new track, with a nice piano breakdown leading into the beat. Still, for all its minor missteps, this album is still a classic.

Track "Zen Flash Zen Bones" is nice, also as "Right In The Night (Fall In Love With Music)" :)It's worth buying it!

I never really did like Jam & Spoon. Right In The Night is very commercial and I never understanded the fuss about Stella. I don't like that song either, just average. But I was suprised listening to this album of Jam & Spoon. Apart of Right In The Night and Stella this is a very well done album. Very nice to listning to. It's sounds all very clean but has got a sensitive feel about the whole album. So they are not as bad as I thought. Nice surprice!

Several editions of 'Tripomatic Fairytales 2001' excluded the short track 'Operating Spaceship Earth'. This edition was the last to include it in the tracklist, with a special bonus mixed sampler CD with excerpts from 'Tripomatic Fairytales 2002'. 'Operating Spaceship Earth' sounds like a funny UFO fly-by over planet Earth. Samples of children laughing are replayed at various speed, which gives the album a small and pleasant touch of humor. It seems mankind is funny after all... Another brief addition I noted is on the sampler CD: the transition between 'I Saw The Future' and 'The Future Is In Small Hands' is made with a sample of waves, not to be found on either 2001 or 2002.

This is one of my favorite albums ever. Too bad for those who thought Jam & Spoon were just Eurodance oriented, and disliked this work of art for not belonging to the world of standards. "Tripomatic Fairytales 2001" is a trip without too many obstacles. Whether it was a good thing or a bad thing: Jam & Spoon wanted to live from their art and decided to include three Eurodance oriented songs in the tracklist: "Right In The Night", "Find Me" and "Angel" (in a third re-press edition of the album). "Right In The Night" was a huge popular hit (that I never really liked). "Find Me" was modeled around "Odyssey To Anyoona" (I liked that one better). If you want to experience the ultimate tripomatic dream, listen to the whole album by excluding these tracks from the program. Right from the beginning, Jam & Spoon show what their art is about. Electronic music, samples, strange atmospheres. "Heart Of Africa" is like a prologue: this is where it all began. From there, we go to Anyoona, wherever it is. Thanks to "Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares" for the great sample. The deep voice of Helmer interrupts the stasis: in the background, you ear the sounds of a sexual intercourse. This is how Stella was conceived, and it begins, slowly. "Hold Me, Love Me". As the BPM dies, near the end, the games are made. A child will be born soon. "Neurotrance Adventure" restart the beat, slowly, and flows into a luminous experience. "Zen Flash Zen Bones" is a spiritual techno transition that leads to... nowhere? End of first act. Act 2 begins with Helmer again. "Muffeled Drums" is like a poem, spoken in a monotonous, dark mood, ultimately interrupted by "Path Of Harmony", a melancholic reminiscence of "Stella". "Paradise Garage" begins in a distant future, with what could be a 1 sentence novel: a mechanic voice whines "Save the robots! Why don't we save the robots!?". "Everybody's gonna fly!" sings Rebecca. "Earth Spirit" explores the world we live in: the deep tone of hundreds of nations into one dark, strange techno anthem. It is in this world that will live newborn Stella. "Stellas Cry" begins downtempo, and flow into what could be the backtrack of her life.

Tripomatic Fairy Tales is by far one of the best electronica and dance album releases EVER! Back in 1992 there was this little known trance track that I heard of called Stella. From the very first time I heard of it I was hooked. It was fast and energetic, sort of a minimal track that just caught you off guard and took you along for the ride into euhporic extacy. I was so into this track I had to learn more about Jam & Spoon. I was totally hooked and researched anything and everything this duo who had produced many euro dance bands but Stella was nothing like Dr. Alban or B.G. The Prince Of Rap. It was tons better. I waited until 1994 when Tripomatic Fairy Tales was finally released by SONY. Then I found what a great album it was. I kept listening and listening to tracks like Find Me (Odyssey To Anyoona) (Radio Mix), Odyssey To Anyoona, Right In The Night (Fall In Love With Music), Path Of Harmony and of course that excellent track STELLA. Now that I am listening to this wonderfully excellent album of pure dance pleasure I am reminded that albums like Tripomatic Fairy Tales are few and far between. If you haven't the pleasure of listening to this amazing album then by all means run to your local used music store and snatch it up before you wont be able to anymore. On another sad note I learned recently that DJ Spoon had died. Through his excellent album he will always be remembered.
