Hokey Pokey is the second album by the British duo of singer Linda Thompson and itarist Richard Thompson. It was recorded in the autumn of 1974 and released in 1975. Listeners keen to try to find connections between the albums by the Thompsons and their personal lives may be confused by the delays between writing, recording and release of the early albums.

The hokey cokey (United Kingdom, Ireland and the Caribbean) or hokey pokey (United States, Canada, Australia and Israel) is a participation dance with a distinctive accompanying tune and lyric structure. It is well known in English-speaking countries. It originates in a British folk dance, with variants attested as early as 1826. The song and accompanying dance peaked in popularity as a music hall song and novelty dance in the mid-1940s in the UK. The song became a chart hit twice in the 1980s
