Let's Spend the Night Together" is a song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, and originally released by the Rolling Stones as a double A-sided single together with "Ruby Tuesday" in January 1967. It also appears as the opening track on the American version of their album Between the Buttons. It has been covered by various artists, including David Bowie in 1973.

The Licks Tour was a worldwide concert tour undertaken by The Rolling Stones during 2002 and 2003, in support of their 40th anniversary compilation album Forty Licks. The itinerary continued the Rolling Stones' practice of mixing theatre, arena, and stadium venues. With little new music to promote, set lists were dynamic and featured a total of 80 different songs.

A great album, my matrix run out says something different, where is says "64" the "4" is over stamped on a number 3! Have no idea why, and can't find an answer. Also the back of the record sleeve has the bottom of the "Stereo" label on it.

The Rolling Stones gave their first performance at the Marquee Club in London on July 12, 1962. At the time, the group consisted of Jagger, Richards, Jones, pianist Ian Stewart, drummer Mick Avory, and Dick Taylor, who had briefly returned to the fold. In February of 1967, Jagger and Richards were arrested for drug possession, and within three months, Jones was arrested on the same charge. A high-profile greatest-hits tour in 2002 was launched despite the lack of a studio album to support, and its album document, Live Licks, appeared in 2004.

Thus the Rolling Stones offically began their first American tour in more than three years. TOO STONED TO MOVE Actually the tour had begun the day before, on Friday, November 7th, a full day ahead of the publicized date, when the Stones flew to Colorado to perform a break-in concert at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, about sixty miles from Denver. The Stones played, essentially, the same set they would play the next four days of the tour. Only the audience response differed. In Colorado, Jagger said a day later, They just sat there. Two cameras were in front of the stage and for an hour and fifteen minutes twice that night the screen was filled with Jagger’s uni-sex face. Looking at times quite the duplicate of Katherine Hepburn or Lauren Bacall. And when the cameras pulled wide to show all of Jagger, prancing, he looked and moved like Hayley Mills.
