The NSW Police Band was established in 1895 and is the longest standing concert band in Australia. The band has now evolved to incorporate 10 different ensembles which are utilised for varied performances and activities. Not to be confused with the NSW Police Pipe Band. The Police is a self-titled compilation album released by The Police on June 5, 2007, to accompany their reunion tour.
